The Holidays are approaching and we are offering a slew of Workshops that will jumpstart your Gift crafting: Needle-felting Class Mondays, November 30, December 7 & 14 @ 6:30pm-8pm Learn the basics of needle felting and let your imagination run wild! This is the perfect opportunity to make holiday ornaments and presents. $90.00 Patchwork Stocking Workshop Sunday, December 6 @ 11am - 1pm In this workshop you will learn to sew an adorable personalized Holiday stocking to match the recipient's or your own personality! $50.00 Sock Monkey Toy Workshop Saturday, December 19 @ 10am -12pm Learn to make a hand knit monkey in the style of an old childhood favorite, the sock monkey. Who wouldn't want to snuggle up to a monkey that was hand knit with love? PLEASE NOTE: Materials will be provided for an additional $18 on the first day of class. $50.00 Knitting Finishing Tips & Tricks Sundays, December 6 & 13 @ 5pm - 7pm Beautifully knit projects can be ruined by sloppy finishing. This class will give you the skills you need to make your knitted garments a success from start to finish. You will learn how to knit perfect button holes, work a 3 needle bind-off, seaming, picking up mistakes and the Kitchener stitch. $80.00 Crochet Class Thursdays, December 3, 10 & 17 @ 6:30pm-8:30pm Need to whip up some warm woolies for your loved ones? Come and discover the craft of crocheting and make a hat or a scarf in no time. This all-level class will teach beginners the basics while more advanced students can learn new techniques, such as amigurumi, broomstick lace, charted lace etc... $120.00 Last Minute Holiday Crafts Workshop Sunday, December 13 & 20 @ 10:00am to 12:00pm Knit, Sew & Crochet those last-minute holiday gifts! Bring in your in-progress projects for help finishing them up, or find a quick-to-make gift for a special someone. Three Elves/Craft Instructors will be on hand to help you tackle your projects. $100.00 Patternmaking Workshop Sunday December 13 @ 10am-12pm Design and make your own clothes! In this 2-hour class you will learn the basic principles of making your own sewing patterns, and make a pattern for a T-Shirt that fits your own unique body. With this foundation you'll be able to sew the projects you envision! Basic sewing experience is helpful to get the most from this class. What: Intro to Embroidery workshop
Who: with me, Joetta Maue
Where: MY STUDIO, located at 183 Lorraine
(very close to the Smith and 9th stop in Redhook)
When: Sunday, December 13, 1:30-3:30pm

In this introduction to embroidery workshop students will begin their very own original custom sampler. Each student will design their own sampler with a water-soluble marker, using their own unique handwriting or provided stencils. The 2 hour workshop is an excellent introduction to skills you can take home and be creative with.
We will learn the most basic skills of preparing the fabric, using the hoop, and threading the needle to finishing the project for final display. 5 traditional embroidery stitches will be taught: the split stitch, stem stitch, backstitch, satin stitch, and the ever-mysterious French knot. With the skills learned each student would be able to continue making beautiful pieces of art or simply embellish items of your own or gifts for the holidays. So bring your creativity and lets get stitching!
$20- bring your own supplies or purchase before class. $30 supplies included. Additional supplies will also be available.
