At the Etsy Labs, we are continually adding new classes to the schedule. After a short hiatus due to restructuring of the Labs, we are back! All classes are held at the Etsy Labs in Brooklyn. Check out our classes for

July, August and September below!

This week we are pleased to announce a very special edition of Monday Craft Night. The Etsy Labs and Cupcakes Take the Cake join forces to bring you an evening of cupcake-themed crafting. We will spend this sweet evening making cupcake-inspired crafts — which seem to be quite popular with shoppers on Etsy. We will demonstrate Gocco printing, buttonmaking, and sewing. You will learn how to print postcards, make pinback buttons, and simple plushie cupcakes. Or, let your mind run wild and create cupcake creations of any kind! Supplies are provided, though you are welcome to bring any special papers or fabrics to incorporate into your projects.

* When: Monday July 14, 6-8pm

* Where: Etsy Labs, 325 Gold Street, 3rd floor, Brooklyn, NY

Not in Brooklyn? Join us for a live broadcast and demos in the Treehouse room of the Virtual Labs. If you are joining us virtually for Craft Night this week and would like to craft along with us, you'll need to bring paper, pen, scissors, and fabric. Or, you may just want to come and watch, ask questions, and take notes.

Get your sweet tooth ready to feast on cupcakes and crafts!

Learn to sew! There are still a few spots available in the Beginning Sewing: Design Your Own Totebag. Snag a spot while you can!

Keep an eye on the Storque Events calendar for future updates from the Etsy Labs.

oh yes, try as i might to hold back time (i want to make more stuff!) it is here, the big mama, the one that started it all, the 4th annual Renegade Craft Fair! if you are anywhere within range, you simply MUST come and support your local indie makers. this is what it's all about!

i would love to wax poetic, show you a preview of what i'm working on, list all my fave vendors that will be there, and so on, but alas there is still much sewing, crocheting, printing, dying and tagging to be done! see you in the pool!

your usual SAPLING suspects will be there: treehouse, hodge podge, raeburn ink, a.s.i.s., 31 corn lane, callieco, keep it moving... links to all should be in the sidebar!

oh yeah, and i'll be honoring my traditional 10% discount to anyone who brings me a lemonade, an (unsweet) iced tea, or a treat!!!

Bazaar Bizarre at the Maker Faire in California

Bazaar Bizarre Maker Faire is now accepting Vendor Applications!

Applications are being accepted from 3/1/08 to 3/12/08. You will be notified as to whether or not you are accepted by 3/16/08.

The Bazaar Bizarre is a juried craft fair that selects vendors based on various elements such as:
· Individuality
· DIY-sensibility
· Quality of work
· Diversity of Products

Each year we have a different guest panel of judges from diverse organizations and backgrounds to ensure a unique and quality showcase of crafters and products.

Traditionally we have received more vendor applications than there are vendor spaces. So the more information you provide in your application-the more we'll be able to consider when making our decision.

One vendor space may be shared amongst more than one crafter. Just be sure to give us information about all the crafters involved on the application.

Where and When Is This Event?

This is a two-day event being held the following weekend:

Saturday May 3rd, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday May 4th, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

This Bazaar Bizarre event is happening as a part of Make Magazine and Craft Zine Maker Faire 2008. The entire event takes place at the San Mateo Fairgrounds. Last year's Maker Faire drew over 40,000 attendees.

Please see http://makerfaire.com/ for more program information

What promotional opportunities are available?
Cross-Promos, Giveaways and Advertising opportunities may be available. Email us at sf_info@bazaarbizarre.org if you have any interest participating in these kind of opportunities

Are you looking for volunteers?
Yes! Please contact us for more info at sf_info@bazaarbizarre.org
Please put VOLUNTEER in the subject title.

Thanks again for all your support! We are excited to put on this event and look forward to reviewing your application! And please help us spread the word about Bazaar Bizarre and Maker Faire!
